The renovation of the protected Wielemans building, home of the Wiels contemporary art centre. stevenalice led the project on behalf of AACarchitecture: interior architecture, historical and energy studies, full design, permit, tender documents, detailing and site supervision until August 2015.
The challenge was to preserve the spirit of the building while improving its sustainability and energy use, and making it larger and more accessible for visitors.
